Publications

The ISPGM has been active in a wide range of consultations and initiatives in health care of older people in Ireland: in addition, geriatricians have been primary leads in the Irish National Audits of Stroke and Dementia Care in Hospitals. Geriatricians are leads and strongly engaged in the National Integrated Care Programme for Older People, National Clinical Stroke Programme and  the National Dementia Strategy and Office. The Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing (TILDA) is led by a geriatrician, Prof Rose Anne Kenny.
